Everyone is aware of the Fanatics founder and CEO, Michael Rubin and his obsession with throwing parties that are attended by A-list celebrities and athletes. His 4th of July White Parties have drawn the attention of the world because of their diverse guest list. Starting from NFL GOAT Tom Brady to Hollywood legend Leonardi DiCaprio while also including great singers like Travis Scott and Drake.

Although the party for an outsider appears to be a great celebration for the top players, but on the inside it’s as intricately planned as one could ever imagine. And admittedly it’s Rubin who sets it all up.

“It’s not just you put people in a room and hope good sh*t happens,” Rubin said in his chat recent chat with Taylor Rooks. “You actually, you’re very thoughtfully putting these things together.”

As it turns out the main attraction to attending these parties is to forge good relationships with top players from every industry. And Rubin takes great pride in being good at “bringing people together.”

What Happens In the White Party, Does Not Stay In the White Party

Each year there is always something that goes viral from the White Party. In 2023 it was the unexpected friendship between Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady, while this year it was the beach ball that Brady and Rubin lost to CJ Stroud and Damar Hamlin’s team. However, what one fails to realize is that the party also hosts some extremely rich and business-savvy individuals.

“Everyone talks about the athletes or the celebrities that were there. But think about the iconic business people you had. And you know we’re so good at bringing different people together and what happens is great business deals come from that,” Rubin said. “People have changed managements that have happened to the White Party like a lot of things come out of that. The same thing is for the Super Bowl launch.”

Although these parties surely benefit the businessmen, but it’s the athletes that take all the limelight on such occasions. Even Rubin admits that he invites the most notable names to make the occasion look interesting while also making it easy to attract a lot of eyes.

“We kind of make it a little more interesting and sexy with bringing some of the best athletes and stars in there to make sure you go from The Rock and Kevin Hart to Tom Brady and your buddy Joe Burrow and it’s just a great mix together,” he said.

That said, even the athletes take advantage of being in a room with successful business owners. After all, players most often aspire to become businessmen themselves after retirement. Look at Tom Brady, he has all his fingers dipped in a different bowl while wearing seven rings.

The Work That Goes Behind the Scenes

From the outside, the party may seem to be a place for A-list celebrities to relax but instead, there is work being done even behind those white curtains. To make it a seamless and profitable gathering, Rubin sits and carefully decides the seating arrangement before the meetup.

One of the biggest examples he gave was when he set up Travis Scott to sit next to the CEO of Verizon, Hans Vestberg, at the White Party last year.

“I put the two of them next to each other because, in my mind, you know what could Travis Scott do for Verizon; what could Verizon do for Travis Scott? Like we’re thinking about those details,” he said.

It is surely Michael Rubin’s skills to connect people that make him a successful entrepreneur but furthermore, it is he who has woven the business community into a tight-knit group of people with similar interests.

He even discussed how these partnerships formed at the parties have impacted society in ways people don’t fathom. Because it is such partnerships that produce results for a better good of the community as a whole.
