Bryce Young isn’t having the time of his life as he wished to see with the Panthers. In fact, it has gone from bad to worse after headlines suggested he went through a breakup with his girlfriend from Bama, Myra Gordon, who is now making public appearances with NBA star Tyrese Maxey.
However, the timeline of his breakup isn’t clear and it couldn’t be concluded that the breakup happened due to the lack of Bryce’s early success in the NFL which is the popular narrative circling around. That said, many fans were left curious about the Alabama alum after reports claimed she has previously dated Shedeur Sanders and Jalen Green.
Who Is Myra Gordon?
Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Myra is one of three kids of the Gordon family. She was born on the 12th of November 2001 to Kim and Myron Gordon.
Since her childhood, she has had a liking for sports particularly basketball like her elder sister Alexis. After all, basketball runs in her blood since both her parents used to hoop at TCU. Kim and Myron were freshmen at TCU in 1992-1993.
As for someone who played basketball, she stands tall at a height of six feet, which is clearly in her genetics since her father is six feet six himself. Surely her grit as a sportsperson is synonymous with the tattoo she has on her forearm which says “Keep Going.”
Basketball is certainly a legacy in the family since her maternal grandfather Gary Altman coached basketball at Bettendorf High School and Black Hawk College.
Myra Gordon: Education
As a resident of Fort Worth, she attended Hurst Junior High before attending LD Bell High School just like her elder sister Alexis.
However, unlike her sister who went on to play for UConn, Texas Tech, and then Duke University, Myra committed to the University of Alabama on a basketball scholarship.
She started her college in Bama in 2020 pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Arts while majoring in Communication and Media Studies. She graduated in June 2023 with an impressive 3.93 GPA. Upon graduation, she went on to pursue a Master’s in Real Estate, Concentration in Investment and Finance from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School which she completed in August 2024, as per her LinkedIn profile.
Her Basketball Career
Hooping has been passed on through generations in her family and she didnt let that tradition die. Her interest in the sport was visible at an early stage when she played guard at LD Bell High School. She blossomed as a hooping star playing for the Bell Blue Raiders.
She scored 2,405 career points during her time in High School while graduating with two school records in her resume; most points in a game (53) and most points in a single season (925, scored as a junior).
Furthermore, her friendship with the current hoopster Angel Reese goes way back. She attended coach Jason McKinney’s basketball camp with Reese in 2019 and they have been friends ever since. Angel Reese can be seen commenting on her posts on IG.
Coming off as a four-star prospect and ESPNW’s top 100 Class of 2020 recruits coming out of High School, Myra was heavily recruited by major programs but she broke them down to just six options, namely: Texas Tech, Michigan, Alabama, Rutgers, Missouri, and San Diego State.
She chose to don the Crimsontide hat for her next chapter in life. She was named the SEC Freshman of the Week for helping Bama go 2-0 against LSU and Vanderbilt in January 2021. She was also invited to the USA Basketball U17 trials after her sophomore season.
As a student-athlete for Alabama, Myra received a few NIL deals from brands like Powerade, Bantam Bagels, TNNS and Big A Legends. She clearly made a name for herself in the program, Shedeur’s younger sister Shelomi who also hoops for Bama could be seen liking her posts on IG. After graduating from Alabama in 2023, Myra also played for Pepperdine.
Works as a Luxury Realtor in LA
Myra’s ambition to make it big in the real estate industry has started picking up pace. After graduating from Pepperdine, she became a licensed realtor at NDA Real Estate and now she helps people buy their dream homes in the city of LA.

Myra Gordon: Dating History
Shedeur: Sanders: It was certainly a a big surprise when fans learned that the former Bama hoopster dated Deion Sanders’ youngest son who is currently dominating the college football limelight. However, it is to be noted that Shedeur has in fact some connection to her since he has liked a few of Kim Gordon’s posts on Instagram which were dated back to 2020. Not only that but even Shedeur’s mother Pilar liked one of Myra’s posts. That said it is to be noted that the two would have broken up long ago since in 2022 Myra was publicly dating QB Bryce Young.
Bryce Young: Myra Gordon’s most public relationship came with the former Bama QB Bryce Young. The two were seen making public appearances together like attending the Atlanta Hawks game in December of 2022. She was also seen accompanying Bryce to his Panthers training camp before his rookie season started. However, the timeline of their separation isn’t clear.
Tyrese Maxey: The most recent chatter around Myra’s dating life has been with the NBA star Tyrese Maxey. She was seen attending the Eagles game with him at the Lincoln Financial Field while she has also shared a picture with him from her vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. “Love this for you!!” Angel Reese commented on the carousel of pictures from her vacation.
Jalen Green?: She is also rumored to have dated the NBA star Jalen Green as per a post shared by ML Football on X, however, they have never been spotted together in public.
The Gordon Family Reacts To the Slander on Myra’s Name
Owing to the recent events, Panthers fans were unhappy about Myra dating an NBA star when Bryce Young is in his struggling phase with the Panthers. However, her parents too had things to say.
Myra’s father Myron took to X, tweeting, “Sometimes the best response, is no response. [heart emoji]”
Meanwhile, her mother Kim retweeted the post sharing the same thought and seemingly reacting to the ongoing narrative surrounding their daughter.
Gordon’s Sister is Dating an NBA Player
Myra isn’t the only member in her family who is dating an NBA athlete. Her sister Alexis, 25, has been dating an NBA player for a long time now. She announced her pregnancy with Pistons guard Wendell Moore Jr. in June. They are expecting a girl at the end of 2024.
An NFL Fan
Along with her craze for basketball, Myra is also a big fan of the NFL. She attended the Saints vs Cowboys game at the AT&T Stadium at the same time when Bryce Young’s Panthers got destroyed by the Chargers in Charlotte in Week 2 this season.
She also attended the Eagles vs Falcons matchup the next day with Tyrese Maxey which was when the news started circling. Her father too is a big NFL fan who supports the Cowboys and also backed Bryce in his debut season as is evident from his X account.
