After spending 13 seasons at the Pac-12, the Colorado Buffaloes are finally headed back to the Big 12 this time under the leadership of Deion Sanders. Now that they are all set to make a loud return, Coach Prime has his mind made up about his upcoming season after Big 12 announced the 2024 season schedule.
In his latest appearance on Undisputed this Tuesday, when Skip Bayless asked Prime if he felt confident about making the CFP in 2024, Deion replied, “Yeah, most definitely (make the CFP)… Last year, we were seven points away from 7-8 more wins. We just didn’t know how to win. We got our butts kicked twice. Several of those games, we could have won. We could have definitely been a bowl team. We made noise, but now we’re going to make some sounds.”

It will certainly be a season to look out for since Deion Sanders has revamped his lackluster roster, especially in the month of December when multiple recruits sought to get coached by Prime.

When asked to go through his Big 12 schedule on the Undisputed, Deion Sanders sounded nothing but excited to prove himself once again.
“Don’t underestimate North Dakota State,” Coach Prime said of the 2024 schedule. “Those guys come into play, and they can play. Nebraska, that’s going to be a good one. They have a wonderful coach in Matt Rhule. Colorado State, I wish we could start off with that one. At UCF, that means we are going to the crib. That means we are going to the crib. We probably have about 25 Florida kids on the team.”
Speaking of his opponents collectively, Prime admitted, “When I’m looking at these schools, I’m looking at their coaches. They’re well-coached. These teams are well-coached. I’m excited about it. I cannot wait to really get into the Big 12 and do what we do.”
Although his debut season did not pan out the way he planned it to be but with the necessary adjustments made to his roster, especially in his Offensive Line, it can be safe to assume that there is a big storm approaching in Big 12.
Colorado Kicking Up a Storm
Before the season started Colorado was projected to win a total of six games throughout the season barely making the bowl games. However, with four games to go, Deion Sanders has managed to win six games already shutting many critics in the process.
Truly a lot is on the line for the Sanders clan and Travis Hunter as they are seen as the top draft picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
To keep their relevance on top the Buffs need to make the most out of their remaining games. Meanwhile, the two way superstar Hunter is the frontrunner in Heisman race which he won’t let go of.
With Colorado set to face, Texas Tech, Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State in the next four weeks, they are seen to give a tight competition to BYU for the Big 12 conference championship.
