Mitchell Trubisky - Chicago Bears

Only a handful of teams have serious stakes on the line in Week 17 but that doesn’t mean there’s not betting opportunity to be found. Let’s take a look at some wagers for the last week of the regular season:

Mitchell Trubisky Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-130)

It’s going to be cold and windy in the Bears’ must-win matchup in Chicago, though there will be points scored in this one. The game’s 49.5 over/under is the fifth-highest total in the slate of Week 17 games and Mitch should certainly contribute to that. He has 16 passing touchdowns in his eight starts this season—five of those, he has at least two touchdown passes.

Dallas Cowboys -1 (-115)

The winner of the Cowboys-Giants game in the Meadowlands has the privilege of waiting until the Sunday night Washington Football-Eagles matchup to see if they are eliminated from playoff contention or were lucky enough to clinch a playoff birth despite failing to earn a winning record.

Both Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are available and will face off against the strength of the Giants’ defense. New York ranks ninth in the league, allowing 4.1 yards per carry. Still, Andy Dalton has looked fantastic over the past three weeks and should be able to lead this balanced attack to its fourth straight win.

J.K. Dobbins Over 66.5 Rushing Yards (-125)

The Ravens need to win in order to make the playoffs and they’ll go up against the Bengals, which ranks 20th on the season against the run, per DVOA. Gus Edwards is questionable for the contest and Mark Ingram has been phased out of Baltimore’s gameplan. The W’s should keep coming for Ohio State alums on Sunday with Dobbins hitting this over.

Houston Texans +7 (-105)

The Texans were embarrassed last week against the Bengals at home and I expect them to play better with just one week left to close out the season. Houston played Tennessee close in their earlier meeting with the Titans needing overtime to seal the victory. J.J. Watt & Co. have a chance to play spoiler and I believe they make it difficult for the Titans to punch their ticket to the postseason.
