As I was writing up this article this week. It dawned on me, we are on Week 10 of the season. Amid COVID-19 outbreaks and juggling games to other weeks. The league continues to chug along.

The NFL will kick off Thursday with the Titans and Colts. It’s that time to give you my five underrated players to take a chance on this week.

Let’s go!

Browns RB Kareem Hunt

No one has been more embarrassing than the Texans rush defense. They have been the worst defense in the league for five weeks in a row. Nearly give up 160 yards per game, 11 touchdowns and over five yards a carry. Do you know who else averages around five yards a carry? Kareem Hunt. With the swirl of uncertainty with quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Browns will give it to Hunt for 22-30 carries and at least two touchdowns. Perfect.

Cardinals WR Christian Kirk

I think of Cardinals wideout Christian Kirk like a naval submarine. He’s under the surface, he knows when to attack and always gets the job done. In the past three weeks, Kirk has 12 receptions, 246 yards and FIVE touchdowns. He’s been a secret on the fantasy football waiver list. Finally, people are realizing that Kirk is becoming a top-tier weapon in the making. The Bills pass defense gave up 362 yards and 34 points to the Seahawks. Should be fun to watch Kirk stretch the field.

Rams WR Robert Woods

It’s always refreshing when I watch a quiet but effective receiver do two things with ease and with class. He makes big catches (12 yards per catch), scores when necessary (four touchdowns) and does not celebrate. Robert Woods is someone to look out for. While Cooper Kupp will dress on Sunday, he is dealing with wrist and oblique injuries. Woods is dependable and is playing the Seattle pass defense that uses their secondary like an amateur Madden player who continuously plays Prevent defense.

Fantasy prediction: 19 points

Bears QB Nick Foles

Wait. Why do I have a straitjacket on all of a sudden? Ohhhhh, because I am recommending Bears quarterback Nick Foles as a fantasy play? Hear me out. The Bears have beaten Minnesota at Chicago eight of the last 10 years. It’s nice to know the Vikings did not pack up the season. Though their pass defense is ranked 29th and given up 19 touchdowns. Believe it or not, Foles has weapons (just the wrong coach) with Allen Robinson II and Anthony Miller. It’s Foles second chance at Monday Night Football. Everyone deserves a second chance even Foles. Thanks for removing the straitjacket, it was a little tight.

Fantasy prediction: 20 points

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa

The Dolphins have a quarterback. Yeah, it’s been two weeks but look at quarterback Tua Tagovailoa‘s history. Since he was a freshman at Alabama, he has proven that he will come up big when it matters the most. He showed it again vs Arizona. It was a Week 9 game against the Cardinals. To Dolphins fans, this had the feel of a playoff game. 20 for 28, 248 yards and two touchdowns. He’s about to welcome a banged-up Chargers defense that has given up 27 points per game. The east coast and the Chargers never mix. Have fun, Tua.
