The San Francisco 49ers have closed their facility due to COVID-19 test results, sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne tested positive, per Schefter. Contract tracing is currently underway and all meetings will continue virtually. San Francisco is scheduled to host the Green Bay Packers tomorrow night. Green Bay is travelling to the area today.
This is the latest example of a team closing operations as a result of a positive coronavirus test. Packers RBs AJ Dillon and Jamaal Williams, as well as LB Kamal Martin will miss the game after Dillon tested positive and Williams and Martin were determined to have been in close contact with him. The Thursday Night Football game is still expected to take place at this time, per Tom Pelissero.
