Julian Edelman will miss “some game action,” per The Athletic’s Jeff Howe. Edelman has struggled to get going this year and may have his nagging knee injury to blame. This is bad news for a team already struggling with inconsistency on offense. The do-it-all wideout is not expected to miss the remainder of the season, though he may need surgery.

- Andy Dalton is still not practicing after suffering a brutal hit from Jon Bostic that landed him in concussion protocol. Head Coach Mike McCarthy said he “[doesn’t] see Andy coming back (until) the end of the week at the earliest.” Rookie Ben DiNucci is in line to start if Dalton misses the game against the Eagles. He has been preparing “relentlessly” and “pouring everything that he personally can into this opportunity that is in front of him,” according to McCarthy.
- Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew is dealing with multiple fractures and a strained ligament in his right thumb, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Minshew reportedly suffered the injury in week five against Houston. He did not alert his team to the injury until this week. The Jags may be without Minshew after their bye week.
- Miles Garrett missed his second straight practice today for the Browns. Garrett, October’s AFC Defensive Player of the Month, is sitting out as a precaution regarding an ankle injury. Head Coach Kevin Stefanski expects Garrett to play on Sunday.
