Cardinals Running Back Kenyan Drake

Kenyan Drake will miss a few weeks with a slight ligament tear in his ankle, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. After Drake left the game against the Seahawks on Sunday night, Chase Edmonds took over lead running back duties, accumulating 145 yards on 12 touches.

Edmonds is currently available in just under 45 percent of ESPN leagues and should be a top priority for fantasy managers.

More From Around The NFL

  • Sean Payton took to social media to shoot down rumors that the Saints would be willing to discuss trade offers for Michael Thomas, tweeting “Insiders on the Outside where they belong,” in response to NBC Sports’ Mike Florio’s report. Thomas hasn’t played since Week 1 because of a high ankle sprain and a hamstring injury, though one of the games he missed was a result of the team disciplining him for getting into an altercation with a teammate.
  • The Cowboys have “made it known” that veteran defensive end Everson Griffen is available for trade, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Dallas is looking to unload the remainder of his $6 million salary (roughly half remaining).
  • Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians told the media that Leonard Fournette is the team’s new “nickel” running back, meaning Tampa Bay’s third-down back. Fournette will take over that spot full-time in place of LeSean McCoy.
