The Chicago Bears will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams in a Monday Night Football showdown. The Rams have been tabbed as five and a half point favorites with the total set at 44.5 points.

The Rams enter tonight’s game a half-game out of first place in the NFC West and a win will put  Sean McVay’s club in a three-way tie for the division lead. Los Angeles comes in at 4-2 with all of their wins coming at the expense of the dreadful NFC East.

The Bears are tied for first place in the NFC North and can gain a half-game lead on the Green Bay Packers with a road win tonight. Chicago owns a 5-1 record winning four games as underdogs thus far.

Let’s take a look at some wagers for Monday Night Football.

Jared Goff Under 250.5 Passing Yards (-143)

The blueprint has been drawn on how to slow down Goff and that is to get pressure on him. The Chicago Bears’ defense is really coming together, getting healthier every week. No team is better at getting pressure than Chicago.

San Francisco got to Goff last week holding him to 19-38 for 198 yards. The Bears will bring pressure all night to get Goff off his mark. When Goff is getting pressured, the Rams offense will look like it is in disarray as it has for much of the time when he hasn’t had a clean pocket.

Allen Robinson Under 71.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

Robinson is the best weapon on the Bears offense and he’ll get targets, but with Jalen Ramsey shadowing Robinson, it’ll make life difficult. Ramsey has been a welcome addition to the Rams’ defense since Los Angeles’ trade last season—he’s the kind of shutdown defensive back that all defenses want. Ramsey is likely to show why he’s so coveted tonight.

Under 44.5 Total Points (-110)

The Bears have been winning with defense in low scoring games. The Rams lost their last game because of a lack of offense. Neither team has totaled over 40 points in their last three contests, respectively. As mentioned earlier, when Goff gets pressured, the Rams’ offense is very unproductive.

The Bears are allowing 19.3 points per game while the Rams are allowing only 19.0 points per game. This will be a slugfest with points coming at a premium tonight.

Cooper Kupp Over 59.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

Kupp is Jared Goff’s lifeline. When Goff is in trouble he will be looking to get the ball to his slot receiver. Kupp gets the tough yards across the middle and has 40 targets in the last five games. The other wide receivers in the Rams’ offense get most of the downfield receptions when Goff has time to throw.

Goff will be pressured and looking to get rid of the ball quickly tonight. Expect Kupp to surpass 59.5 yards through the air.

Chicago Bears (+6) (-110)

Chicago has beaten the Rams outright in six of their last eight meetings. The Bears are 5-0 against the NFC this season and the perception is that they are not a “good” team but that’s primarily due to the fact that they are winning low scoring games. In reality, Chicago is winning and that’s all that matters in the NFL.

Six points is a relatively large spread and with a low total set in this game, the six points carry some extra value. Give me the Bears until the Rams prove that they can beat an NFL team that’s not in the NFC East.
