The Vikings made a major trade earlier this week, sending Yannick Ngakoue to the Ravens for a pair of draft picks. Minnesota may not be done shedding salary and veterans with teams around the league believing that the Vikings are open for business, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

It’s possible that Adam Thielen is dealt before the November 3 trade deadline, though La Canfora wouldn’t call it likely. Safety Harrison Smith, left tackle Riley Reiff, and tight end Kyle Rudolph.

“They try to push Rudolph but the guy we want is (Irv) Smith,” one GM said. “They don’t want to trade the young guys. But, yeah, they will push out more salary if they can.”

Minnesota is 1-5 and will come off their bye with a game against the Packers in Week 8. The Vikings are -1250 to miss the playoffs and +725 to make it (DraftKings).

“They want to move on from some guys for sure but not the guys we want,” another GM said. “They want to cut payroll but I don’t know how successful they’ll be with that.”
