October 11: The Falcons will fire Dan Quinn, according to Jeff Schultz of The Athletic. The decision is “all but finalized” and an announcement will come Monday or Tuesday, Schultz hears.

Atlanta is 0-5 for the first time since 1998. Quinn has led the Falcons to a 14-23 record since the conclusion of the 2017 season.

The franchise has two coordinators on their staff with prior head coaching experience, as our own Chris Crouse discussed on a recent episode of Desktop GM. Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris spent three years as the Buccaneer coach from 2009-2011. Offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter also spent three years as Tampa Bay’s coach from 2016-2018.
