October 4: The Buccaneers’ comeback win today over the Los Angeles Chargers, came at a price.

Tight end O.J. Howard could be done for the season, according to Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com. Head coach Bruce Arians believe that the 2017 first-round pick ruptured his Achilles tendon. He will have an MRI tomorrow.

The 25-year-old tight end has dealt with injuries ranging from high ankle Grade 3 sprains in 2017 and 2018. He missed two games in 2019 with a hamstring injury.

If Howard is out for the season, the Buccaneers will have Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate left at the tight end position.

Howard caught 3 balls for 50 yards and a touchdown on Sunday.
