The New England Patriots head into Week 4 as 7 point underdogs to the Kansas City Chiefs This is the largest spread they’ve faced since 2003, as Pete Watt of OddsChecker tells ProFootball Action. Cam Newton and the Pats failed to cover against Seattle in Week 2, the only game they weren’t favored in so far this season.

Patrick Mahomes had an all-time performance last week against the Ravens, passing for 385 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also added four carries for 26 yards and another score. If New England can’t slow him down, this is an easy cover for Kansas City.

More from the AFC

  • Joe Mixon, fresh off a tie with the Eagles, is in a similar spot as last year, per Ian Hartitz. His fantasy rankings are almost identical through the first three weeks of the season. We’ll see if Cincinnati’s offensive line can improve at all against the Jaguars and Myles Jack.
  • Speaking of Jack, the Jacksonville Jaguars is on an absolute tear. With 33 tackles, double-digits each game so far, he is currently tied for the league lead, per J.P. Shadrick. Jack should have plenty of opportunities to impose his will on the Bengals in Week 4.
  • Baker Mayfield is allegedly ready to light it up against the Dallas Cowboys, per Curtis Crabtree. Mayfield continues to disappoint in his professional career. If not for the heroics of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and a cupcake schedule, his team very well might be 0-3. Each week Baker talks a big game about playing better, let’s see if he can deliver for once.
  • The Las Vegas Raiders cut DeShone Kizer from the practice squad. Marcus Mariota‘s return from injured reserve spelled the end for Kizer in Las Vegas. Kizer may be finished in the league at this point. Stints with the Browns and Packers proved unproductive and it will be interesting to see if any team takes a chance on him.
