Tom Brady is thrilled with his new weapons in Tampa Bay and he’s been talking up wide receiver Scotty Miller.
“He’s another consistent, trustworthy player,” said Brady said of Miller. “Whatever we talk about, he takes it to the next practice and his play is showing everybody that he’s earned a big role.”
Miller is likely to be the guy used in three-wide receiver sets alongside Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Justin Watson and Tyler Johnson have also received slot reps during Buccaneers’ training camp, though Miller appears to have a solid footing on the WR3 role.
How often Miller will see the field for Tampa Bay remains to be seen. With Rob Gronkowski, O.J. Howard, and Cameron Brate in the fold, Bruce Arians’ club could end up using 12 personnel as its most common formation.
