Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt.

Browns’ hype may have hit an all-time high last season as Baker Mayfield & Co. were expected to take Cleveland to great heights. That didn’t pan out and in comes a new coaching staff to try and maximize the talent on this team.

New coach Kevin Stefanski may lean on the run in 2020, something that many first-year coaches have found success with, as Ellis L. Williams of Cleveland.com details. Over the past five years, 13 different head coaches have found themselves in the top-10 in rushing and nine of those teams ended up 8-8 or better.

Cleveland’s over/under last season was nine wins, though the club finished just 8-8. This year, the total is 8.5 (Fan Duel).

The Browns beat writer believes that Stefanski may end up feeding both Nick Chubbs and Kareem Hunt with at least 15 carries each.

Stefanski used two-running backs on 254 snaps last season as the Vikings’ play-caller. That figure was the third-highest in the league and the Browns could end up leading the league in that category this season.
