The Cowboys re-signed Blake Jarwin to a three-year, $24M deal this offseason and he’s in position to become a fantasy stud at the tight end position.

Jarwin scored three touchdowns and netted 365 yards in a limited role last season. With Jason Witten out the picture, the 6-5, 260-pound tight end will take the majority of reps in Dallas for the first time in his career. The Cowboys are expected to yield one of the most electric offenses in the league in 2020 and Jarwin should have an opportunity to see plenty of work.

The 26-year-old is being selected as the 19th tight end and outside of standard drafts. Selecting Jarwin with one of your final picks in drafts is a low-risk move that could end up solidifying the position for you throughout 2020.

More on the NFL:

  • Despite an underwhelming 2019 season, don’t pass on Juju Smith-Schuster in fantasy drafts, Chris Wecht of numberFire writes. Faith in Ben Roethlisberger, who is looking sharp after missing 14 games last season, will be key for Smith-Schuster. The Steelers’ WR is being selected in the third-round of early drafts.
  • Many view Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire as an RB2, as ESPN’s Eric Karabell explains. The rookie’s elite pass-catching skills, coupled with Kansas City’s explosive offense, may allow Edwards-Helaire to thrive early in the 2020 season.
  • Kyler Murray, who was given a 77 overall rating on Madden, isn’t pleased with the figure. Murray said he “kind of [takes] it as disrespect, but it is what it is.” For what it’s worth, only Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson are expected to be better QB options in fantasy this season than the Cardinals‘ signal caller.
  • Chad Kelly, who is the fourth-string QB on the Colts, claims he’s the second-fastest QB in the NFL behind Jackson. Kelly stands a chance to make Indy’s roster but it’s unlikely we see his self-proclaimed speed in an NFL game this season or as a fantasy option.
