While A.J. Green is set to return for Cincinnati and the franchise drafted Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd may be the Bengals‘ wide receiver you want to target in fantasy drafts.

Since 2018, the Boyd leads the league in yards from the slot, as ESPN’s Matt Bowen relays. He likely won’t get major competition from either Green (never amassed more than 361 yards from the slot in any given year) or Higgins (only saw 11 targets from the slot last year at Clemson). Factor in his ADP, which is 81.2 (WR32; via ESPN), and Boyd could easily be someone who provides value for season-long players in fantasy.

Here are more notes on the upcoming fantasy football season:

  • Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson both went off the board in round 3 of ESPN’s latest mock draft (10-team, PPR). The next QB didn’t go until round 7 when Kyler Murray was selected.
  • Matthew Stafford had five top-6 finishes during the eight contests he played and the Lions‘ QB is someone to target in fantasy, Elisha Twerski of numberFire contends. Only Jackson, Deshaun Watson, and Dak Prescott finished ahead of Stafford’s 21.45 fantasy point average in 2019.
  • According to Pro Football Focus, Stafford has the seventh-easiest schedule at the position. While taking Stafford anywhere near the top tier isn’t wise, if you are waiting on a QB, you could do much worse than take a chance on the 32-year-old QB.
