Alshon Jeffery may have played his last game for Philadelphia, as NBC Sports’ Peter King reports that the franchise is likely to trade the veteran on draft night.
Jeffrey has one more year left on his deal. It’s still possible that the Eagles bring him back, yet they won’t fully rely on the injury-prone receiver as they did last season. Jeffrey missed six games in 2019.
The Eagles’ wide receiver core should look different next season with the team expected to take a receiver or two in the draft. King has Henry Ruggs III falling to the team at No. 21, though many expect him gone before that.
Justin Jefferson is the heavy favorite to be the Eagles’ first selection. King has Jefferson coming off the board at No. 20 to Jacksonville, though many other draft experts have Jefferson there for Philly one pick later.
Jerry Jeudy would be a fine selection for Philadelphia, though the team will likely need to move up in the draft to obtain him. The Broncos (No. 15 pick) are among the teams eyeing Jeudy. Denver is expected to pursue a trade up in the draft in order to acquire the Alabama WR.
